How to buy an inspection sticker?

u need connections man.... ask friends with tint where they get their stickers
Connections? wtf, we're talking tints here, not black tar heroin. Just go to the inspection thing and if they mention the tints, just start whining and they might let it slide, or get lighter tints.

Well, if I was in your shoes, and was not going to just remove the tint, I would:

a) hit an inspection station just before closing, and see if they will just rush through it

b) hit a place that does it outside, and wait for bad weather.

basically, anything that will get them to hurry helps you

I have been getting cars inspected for many years, and it has only been put up on the lift TWICE in that time. Usually it is a 2 minute process to get my car inspected.

Hehehehe...That was a good one...

My tint shop in NY has a "friendly" garage they recommend to their customers. I'm sure some of your local shops do too.

But in all seriousness, don't be that guy that wrecks my ride because you didn't see me coming. I love tint as much as anybody, but keep it light enough to actually see through at night, as that might come in handy one day.

I don't mean to be a dick, but I have enough trouble dodging rogue soccer moms in minivans every day.

If you were in my part of the world I'd know right where to send you.

I know of a shop where the only requirement is that all of your paperwork is legit (current D/L, registration, and proof of insurance) Anything else that may or may not be legal on any particular car could have been done (if ya catch my meaning) after the inspection sticker was acquired. My tint is darker than Louisiana allows for but I have no issues getting the car inspected once a year. There are only a handful of parishes (LA's version of counties) which require emissions testing and the one I live in isn't on the list yet.

ill talk to a guy tomorrow, he did my car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif But mine passed without his help. Ill ask him about yours since you have md tags. Might have to drive down to alexandria

Most states that require state inspection are not allowed to issue an inspection sticker/certificate to a vehicle registered in another state excepting the owner being able to prove residence in the other state (such as military personnel who are not required to adhere to the regulations requiring vehicle registration being updated within so many days or weeks of establishing residence in a new state - I've got an Air Force buddy who got transferred to Wisconsin a few years ago....her IROC still carries Louisiana tags)

I sell auto parts here and have know alot of mechanics from VA, MD and DC. I just have to ask the right persone to do it for him. Thats the perks of giving them really good discounts, later when you need them they always help me out.

Fair enough //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif bad weather = tint looks even darker
I think thats the point.

I know my 35% tint looks WAY darker during cloudy/rainy days.

You can pass off the dark tint as lighter and blame the darkness on the weather. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

try and take the tint test on a sunny day... my brother in severn flunked his 240sx on cloudy day. came back on a sunny day and passed. if he didn't pass the second time he was gonna take off the tint and re-tint after getting the go...

i had to deal with safety inspections when in NY, now here in AZ no worry...
