How to blow a 18" Fi BTL

I was wondering just for my own information, How many watts on average does it take to blow a 18" Fi BTL? I need someone who actually have done this to tell me. So in other words please only respond if you had experience with this matter. I don't need he say she say. Thanks. But I will throw out there I think that it will blow at 3000 watts. I may be wrong, but oh well. I may find out. I have 4 of them so if I blow one (which I doubt) I will know. But I only plan on putting about 2200-2400 watts on each of my subs.

I know thats why I will keep mine at that level. And lets have the scenario at a ported box set to Fi's standards.
what difference does it make if you are feeding it 2400rms?

You cant set an exact amount of wattage that will pop a sub. Im sure you could feed a BTL 5000RMS for two seconds and it would be okay. Its all about thermal power handling, how the sub is played, tuning of the box. A big port will lower power handling vs a small port, a larger box will lower power handling vs a small box, etc etc.

Dang, because I don't want to horribly under power them, but I don't want to blow them. Man someone blow their BTL and let me know how much power you had on them. LOL

did you read anything above this post?

if that is a clean 2400rms per sub, they will perform very well for you.

everyone i heard puts 2500 to 3000 watts daily to them imo 2500 is perfect

I got yall. The reason I asked id because I thought about powering my 4 BTL's with 2 hifonics brutus 2610's each. Is that too much or will it laugh at them. I think I will do something other than sundown, aq, and rf amps. Just trying to take a different route. Not saying that there is anything wrong with them I am just taking a different route. Nor am I saying that Hifonics are all that. Just a thought.
