i jsut recently got a solid lexan rear window put in my truck, and it does have a faint smoke color to it, but i wanna black it out, well i cant tint it b/c the tint shop told me that lexan releases a gas and makes the tint bubble up within a week so thats out of the question. i dont wanna lay a piece of fabric over it, i was either gonna get a all black decal or spray paint it flat black, but i dont know what to do, someone help me out here, and i dont wanna replace the window again. b/c it took so long to get this one and it wasnt cheap. any input would help me out. thanks guys!!!

Wouldn't paint have the same effect as tinting in that the gas would still be trapped inbetween the paint and the lexan? I'm not sure how much spraypaint breathes. You could probably get away with light coats.

its already installed, you could only paint the outside unless you want a mess inside. Paint outside wont look good unless its automotive. I would go decal on the inside, itll look glossy thru the lexan.

why dont you try using one of those glasscapes type decals it will beable to breathe and will block alot of light comming in and peoples eyes
yea i checked that out yesterday at the local decal shop, and didnt really care for what it looked like, im prolly just gonna get a black decal for the inside, like everyone has been telling me that the spray paint and spray tint would act funny like real tint and try to breathe through it, idk thought....i would think that the decal would do the same as the tint maybe????

Uhhh ofcourse it would.

You should really get a solid black "glasscapes" decal as it has many tiny holes to allow the driver to see out..

I think u need to do more research on the amount of gases released by the lexan and how etc.. I bet its not like you are lead to believe..
