how to attach terminals on power/ground wire

I've found that using a coaxial cable stripper, like what you see the satellite/DSS install guys using, works better than just a utility knife or scissors alone...
You can set the tool to full open, and twirl it twice around the jacket - instantly cut.
thats a pretty good idea... do u know how much those go for?

With 4 awg, I usually strip it with something like this... a 9" cutter

While we are kind of on the subject. how do YOU guys bare large wire, like 4awg and larger? I always use a pocket knife, but I dont know how other people do it. I don't know if they even make a wire stripper for that big of wire, but as I said, I dont have use, I just use my pocket knife. Curious to see how you guys strip them?
I use a box cutter and only extend the blade to the first notch. For 1/0 Gauge JL Audio power wire, the point just barly nicks the outer-most strands...

i use cable strippers or scissors to stripp big wire. tell you the truth the scissors or a simple utility knife works the best. use the utility knife to cut into the rubber once you get all the way around cut it up towards the end and peal it ...less likely to get carple tunnel this way lol
