How the hell you stick the wire into this Sub

I have a 12w3V3 JL sub, it's a SVC I would say...

It has a + and a - plug thing, the plugs look like this:

okay that doesn't help at all, but basically you can push up and down on it and it has a little hole, but I have no idea how to stick a wire in there.

Sorta related: I have a Knukonceptz wiring kit and it comes with a little fuse thing for the power cable, but how do you insert the power cable into it?

Another kinda of related Q: I have an Alpine head unit, but it didn't come with any wires or anything. How do I ground it? Is it included with the knukonceptz kit perhaps?

Another question: I'm trying to build a sub box in my tire well, but my tire well is extremely shallow. The Sub magnet will be sitting like only a couple of CMs off the floor, is that still fine?

Id guess you just push the button down which opens the hole and then stick the wire in there.

for the power wire you either crimp one of those ring terminal wires on the end and slide it in the fuse holder or just strip the wire and stick it in. Im not sure how knukoncepts devices work

And the headunit ground is built into the wiring harness

1. It's just a metal cylinder with a hole drilled in it, with a metal jacket around it with a hole drilled in the same spot. There is a spring pushing the jacket up so the holes don't line up, just push it down, put the wire in the hole, and let go, the spring should keep the wire from falling out.

2. You mean a standard in-line fuse/holder? Most likely you just strip the power wire, remove or raise the screws on the fuse holder, insert the stripped end into one side of the fuse holder...you know...in the huge hole the exact same diameter as the wire...and tighten the screw down onto the wire, repeat for the other side.

3. No it's not included with the amp wiring kit, if that's what you bought, you didn't really specify. Anyway, you just find which of the wires on the harness is the ground wire and then crimp on your own wire of the same gauge which you run to a ground point

4. Without seeing your specific design, we can't answer that question. Most likely it'll be fine, but I'm sure there is a way you could get it up further.

Thanks for putting up with my n00bism.

Regarding the sub box, yeah I'm making a full sealed enclosure, but it'll be awkward due to the limited space in there. I'll lay down a few coats of fiberglass and fiberglass up the MDF walls.

Also, going back to the first question about the subwoofer plug, should I just strip the wire and then push down on the subwoofer plug spring so the hole is made, stick the wire through, and release the spring? Will that be enough with the stripped wire being squashed in the hole?

.....

The ?s some ppl ask.... make me wonder why they are doing it themselves! lol.

Yes, strip the wire....or else you'll get no bump sticking rubber wire covering in there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
