local dealer says it is a 1.0 cuft box and I should be ssending the 350wrms from one channel of my ampwhats the box size for the woofers and what kinda power are they seeing...
will do.maybe check the wiring at the amp first, are they secure on both ends, amps hate loose wiring, can cause them to fawk up
that is the cause of many system killings. you gotta under stand. 300 watts is not that loud...i got 300 watts on my componenet speakers...and people see that "oh shit the sub gets louder the higher i set the gain and bassboost" you gotta be realistic. go buy a digital multi meter. download a -6db 50hz (can use 60hz) test tone. connect the dmm, play the test tone and set it to the voltage you calculate (use the power you want multiplied by the final ohm load the amp will be sitting at and get the number. now squareroot the number. and thats your voltage) turn your gain up until you reach the number you calculated and that is the max output you will get from your sub...period. no more. you want louder. upgrade.well im thinking your gain and bass boost are set a bit high and that your clipping the hell out of it! i bet that your trying to get more out of your system then it has available. if you dont want this issue anymore get a ported enclosure built to spec and a larger amp! this should get you more output and you wont need to crank your gain's. what is your hu's pre-volt output?. alway's set the amp gain to the deck pre-volt rating. by the way the rsd is great sealed for sq. but lacking in spl. now ported it has great sq and awesome spl for a driver of it's price........as good as some that are 3-4x the price!
I wanna see this.bottoming out
someone show him the video of what bass boost does to the wave on an o-scope
edited for accuracynot to post dump, but when i read the title, i automatically though it was started by chipmunk
