How safe is using ebay? tips?

Like say someone is selling something for a 1/3 of retail price. Everything looks legit and they have 10+ positive reviews in the last 6 months.

Depends what your buying... I shop on ebay alot but an electronic that might need warranty i double think. Sometimes shipping something if big and heavy is kind of annoying because of the expense to have it shipped.

Ebay only protects buyers if what you recieve isnt what you purchased. Something can be a fake which ebay has A LOT, but if nowhere it says authentic or anything like that well your out what that cost because nowhere did it say it was authentic. But its everything on the item page is on point and legit and you receieve something different and the seller neglects to refund momey or whatever ebay got your back

i avoid buying anything "new" on ebay. i shop for used stuff and i'm fairly careful. of the hundreds of purchases i've only got burned a few times and never for a serious amount.
