How over rated are your xenon amps?

Thinking about running 1 400.1 into a 4 ohm dvc 10 inch Type R. Enough, or do I need more? Also any comments on any of the Alpine Type R series and PG amps would be nice.

Yep. My 100.4 (100x4) was actually 130x4 acording to birthsheet.

there underrated my 200.4's birth sheet says 983 watts at 1-4 ohms

I have the x200.2 and it rated 486. Get the x600 gives you more headroom. By the way they are underrated not overrated.

PG amps are usually solid......When the Xenons first came out, they had quite a few problems.

Ive read that it was primarily the first batch that had trouble........

I didn't see a birth sheet on my Xenon but from what I have read they seem to make more power at 4ohms than at lower impedences. Not huge differnces but 100 watts or so.

Most of the mono-blocks aren't that underrated. The multi channels are the ones with significantly more than rated power.

All 3 of my 200.4's are like 240x4....
