I work two jobs...
@ Lowes I make about $18k
@ Air Force, I currently make 25, but will move up to 35k here soon. You can check my pay at http://www.opm.gov/oca/06tables/html/RUS.asp.
Currently I am GS-4. I move to GS-7 within a month (since I am no longer a co-op) And 1 year later I will be GS-9. Then I will quit Lowe's.

Don't know what else I need (besides an installer to help get the stuff I already have in there), but bonus time is coming up next month.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/woot.gif.aaa6090e619a97b6090d16dd863c5a69.gif please do !
You would either have one or two problemsthats good or bad?
For DoD or who? I would assume Warner-Robbins but that is kind of far away. If it is DoD I may be interested in moving because I would like to attend Emory for my MBA...And this is why I stay a government contractor. If I went GS I would take a major pay cut.

Ahhh so I guess housing down there is relatively inexpensive? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifYou would either have one or two problems
a) Your house would be hit by golf balls or be on the lake
or
b) your house would require a fire escape ladder because it is more than 3 stories.

Not that many of us (if any) will ever experience it, but million dollar homes vary greatly depending on where you live.In a way....
When you go upscale...it gets expensive really quick. a million dollar home here is about the same as a million dollar home about anywhere. What is different is a $100k - $300k home; you can get a lot more house per $ around here. Hope that is clear.
So I would live decently there if I sold my $425K home here?In a way....

Just out of curiosity, what does 425K buy you up there (Sqft)? So I would live decently there if I sold my $425K home here?

same as a million dollar home anywhere? A house here in iowa that just sold for $2.5mill would prolly bring like $15mill in nyc or LA etc.In a way....
