I bought an Alpine w200. So you think that dash kit on ebay is the best way to go, eh? its not hard at all.....just give it a try. Especially if you buy that dash kit, it you'll basically just be bonding the two together then sanding smooth and painting.

Alright. I got it in the mail today, so I'm going to hook it up tonight and place it in there to see how it fits and we will go from there.

Ok well I was quite surprised tonight. I got it in and it actually fits better than I thought it would. There are no brackets or cage to bolt it in, so I think I'm going to get some L brackets to bolt into where my factory CD player was bolted into. Other than that, the only thing left to do is it trim the dash piece like an eighth of an inch so that it will sit flush. There are those half circles on each side that are holes, but I think I can find something to place in there to look decent.

Anything wrong with using L brackets to hold the unit in place?
