How much space left behind soofer for cooling?

What is an acceptable amount of space behind a subwoofer to allow cooling? I am looking at some subs that might fit well into an underseat box on my truck(ext cab) and they would only have around .875" clearance behind the magnet, would this be enough space for it to keep cool?

if no pole vent then magnet can be resting against back of box. if pole vent then i'm pretty sure a minimum of the width of the vent needs to be there, or maybe it's double the width, unsure on that.

I had been looking at a few different woofers, but am thinking I may end up going with an RE SX 10. Would be in a sealed enclosure, RE reccomends I think it was .7cf for sealed enclosure for SQ with this sub. I found a box that has 7" mounting depth, .92cf, and fits my truck perfectly. I just need to find the magnets width and see if it still fits the box then..

if this is in reference to my post, then it's the width of the vent in the magnet you need, not the magnet itself.

Good to know, maybe they used the same ideas for the SX.. I emailed RE(should have in first place lol) and hopefully they will have an answer. Thanks for the help though guys!
