iDMAX 12 Ported ?

Hello, I'm new here, and searched for this, but could come up with no clear answer. I'm planning on building an enclosure for my idmax 12 and found the plans. From the looks of it, this is the closest I could find to the reccomended 2.55@28hz. Do you think this would be a good loud SQ box? I listen to every kind of music, so I need it to be flexible as well. Oh and I guess ti would help if I told you what I was powering it with and what it's going in.

Being powered by a Boston Acoustics gt28 2ohms mono-1100watts 12.6

And it's going in a 1995 Nissan 300zx TT 2 seater. I Need top keep the box as low as possible. I only have about 14 inched to play with.

if it fits, i think it'd be a great SQ box.

thats the exact size box I had my max in when I had it, sounded amazing, slams hard and sounded great as well, had around 800 rms on it.

That should hit extremely low....i'm running two d4 max's ported in a 4 cu. ft. box tuned to 32 hz. Originally, i had a 5 cu. ft. box built and it wouldn't fit in my trunk, so i went with a slightly smaller box. These subs pound....i wired them down to 1 ohm on an ED Nine.1

Well how do yours sounds. I thought about that too, a 2.0@32hz. It would be smaller, which would make fitting it alot easier.

I went with a slightly smaller box. After talk to Eric at Image, he thought it would be best to go with a 2.8 net~2.3 after port and basket displacent, tuned to 28hz. Using 2 4in IDx26" round ports. He said with the amount of power I'm going to be feeding it, that was the best route to take. I guess he knows what he's talking about, he had load of experience with them I'm sure?

Will post pics tomarrow when I get it all put together.

sweeeet, join the IDmax club. I love my pair sealed, and i bet ported would make them shine.

as said before around 2.5 cubes would sound badass for an idmax. let us know how it goes.
