How much Sound Deadener?

would I need to cover a average trunk lid? I've never really used deadener before and I am going to start with the trunk and work from there. I need to about how much it will take to do the lid now so theres enough to do doors, etc. later.

That depends on how much you feel is necessary, and how large of a trunk lid you have.

If you go with the 25% coverage ideology, 50SQ ft could probably do your entire car. Doors, roof, trunk, floorboard, all of it.

If you feel that you need 100% coverage, probably 200SQ ft or more.
