If your building skills are as good as your sketchup skills, then you should only charge for materials.
Not sure where you shop but I pay: $28 a sheet for MDF, $9 for TBII, $5.50 for screws, $4 for caulk, then add in 2+ yds fabric, $8 for spray glue, paint for the port, terminals and wire.It depends on what carpet you get. $50 was a rough estimate. $25 for MDF, $5 for glue, caulk, screws and $20 for carpet. 3 hours worth of work, $50/3 = $16.5 an hour.

Just don't want your material costs to equal the build cost //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
I understand. I usually buy in bulk and rarely do I use an entire bottle of glue or caulk so to charge for the entire bottle wouldn't be right, you know? Not sure where you shop but I pay: $28 a sheet for MDF, $9 for TBII, $5.50 for screws, $4 for caulk, then add in 2+ yds fabric, $8 for spray glue, paint for the port, terminals and wire.

Well...Care to break down your supply prices as I'm curious how it would only cost you $50 including carpet...
If you are using something you already have, it is the same cost as going and buying as much as you use. You already have the ability to work don't you? So you don't need to charge for labor costs...If he already has adhesive / glue
