how much rms till i need to do big 3?

I am getting a re sx 12 and want to know if i put the full 1000w rms in it will i need to do the big 3 are add batteries are anything? if i do how much watts is max without doing these major upgrades?

j/k, agreed that it is a good thin to do no matter what, however before anyone can give any kind of answere, how many amps is your alt, what battery, etc...

big 3 is simple and very helpful. i would recommend it even if you run it at 1w

what does your stock alt put out? I was ok with my stock alt (105amp) and a hifonics brutus 1200w with no big 3 and only 4 awg going back to the amp. lights dimmed, but nothing terrible.

It's very cheap and simple to do...if youre running more than 250 rms I would do it

i looked at the amp and it doesnt say the watts but dad said its around 105 110 are somthing like that! i wouldnt mind the big three as much as the extra battery are bigger alt thats my main concern .... think i would have to upgrade those things?

if its 100-500 or so watts you can leave your wiring alone. no need to do ANYTHING other than running the wires for the amps power.

I'm running 3000 rms in my Saleen ....and have no dimming even at full tilt...I'm running a DD M3 on a DD 3510 at 1ohm mono....no big three stock alt. and only 4ga wiring.....

deff do big 3 IMO over 500rms u should do it, for the 20 bucks in wire it sure as shit aint gonna hurt ya

Its rather simple really.

Its a wire from Alternator Positive to Battery Positive (optional fuse) and wire from Battery Negative to Chassis and wire from Chassis to Engine Block.

You may leave all other wires in place and just add the new to those locations.

Just did a search and they have about 170-200 amps which is not bad for factory lol. Stick a nice size battery behind that and it may be ok.
