How much RMS are the older Kicker Solo Baric 15s?

I had a 12" Kicker L7(the 2nd gen after the black ones), I shred the tinsel leads when I tried to put 1100 watts RMS into it. Dual 4 ohm coil became like dual 10 ohm...
