how much power to a 12w6?

ok so i had 3 12w6's now im only using one. i have it running off my 450/4 along with my highs. its getting 300 watts. it sounds ok but doesnt get as loud or flex as much as id like it to.

how much power should i give to my w6? im lookin at either gettin a amp that gives it around 500, or possibly keepin my sundown and giving it 800, but then i loose out on making some cash. what do you guys think?

12w6v2 is rated at 400 watts rms, i would give the sub around 600 watts clean rms power at most.
