How much power is my amp giving?

I thought i read somewhere that "old school" amps put out more then they were rated at, i dont have a birth sheet or anything so i dont know, oh well.

*EDIT*

What do "watts" have to do with car audio?

Watts = Power

And quit playing stupid... your sig and the year and a half you've been on this forums indicate your not that much of a dumbass, especially when all mainstream amps advertise WATTS.

That amp will comfortably do around 40 watts per channel. It's a little beast.

Older quality amps will typically do more than their rated power for the simple reason that they were intended for competition use in a time when the class you competed in was determined by the manufacturers rated power into 4 ohms. As such amps rated for less power than they produced could provide a competitor an advantage.
