A local audio shop has been ranting and raving about how good these amps are and i would like to hear some input on this matter. The owner of the shop told me that 1 phd 5000 would destroy a massive audio p3000.1 in all catagories. Are they effecient or just crap....

I haven't had experience with the EQ PH5000d but I'm running the Massive and it's no joke. Also, if the local shop sells EQ, get the Massive just to be different .

extremley loud, in fact you done even need speakers in your car, just install the amp, theyre so loud they blow all your windows out

i was looking to buy one of these and did a lot of research on them before deciding against it. they are really efficient and do just about rated power. i remember reading some people had problems with the older models catching fire a time or two. the Massive amp is only stable at 2ohms so it depends on what your gonna be running. the new earthquakes are good amps and will get the job done. what kind of setup are you gonna be running?

actually earthquake ph5000d amp's are excellent but i cant say much for the tnt model amp's they actually ****! but the ph mono amp's are very solid. i like powerbass 3000.1's a lot better though.

i hear such mixed reveiws on the amp and i can get it for a good price.. what price is the powerbass and does it do rated power...

it does well over rated power! kind of hard to find now but once in a while they turn up. normally you can find one for around 400ish. if you can get the earthquake for a good price then go for it! it wont let you down

don't get me wrong, I'm not saying don't get it.
