Ok so lets says you have 4 d2 speakers and you run them in a series/parallel set up to make a 1 ohm load off a 1000 watt @1ohm amplifier how much power does each see in this set up?

Row 1 = 2 voicecolis in series : 2.00 ohms : 2.00 ohms

( 4.00 ohms total for row)

Row 2 = 2 voicecolis in series : 2.00 ohms : 2.00 ohms

( 4.00 ohms total for row)

Row 3 = 2 voicecolis in series : 2.00 ohms : 2.00 ohms

( 4.00 ohms total for row)

Row 4 = 2 voicecolis in series : 2.00 ohms : 2.00 ohms

( 4.00 ohms total for row)

Connecting Row 1 and Row 2 and Row 3 and Row 4 in Parallel

Total Impedance for this combination = 1.00 ohms

so if you had 10 speakers same set up same amp each would see 100 watts then ok I am asking because I am going to be setting up a wall with 8 12's in my explorer and would like to see about 500 to each sub so that means I would need about a 4k watt amplifier then right?I want to run just a single sub amp though

If you want a full 500w to go to each sub, I would be looking at something that does what you want at 2 ohm. Your box rise will put you closer to that rating or higher.

So you want 4-5k at 2 ohm.
