My friend has a crunch 1100.2 and its rated at 550 @ 4 ohm bridged. he wants to run it at 2 ohm plus impedence raise in a huge box.

two questions:

do you think its safe?

what amount of power can he expect?

its a peice o shit amp, and he knows cuz i ripped his *** about it but he wants to run it still.

Do it, but make sure you have the video rolling first, lol.

well it has been turned on already bridged on 2 ohm plus impedence raise. i just dont think it will last long.
Gee, you think? You are running a BUDGET amplifier below its recommended impedance since 2 ohms mono is equivalent to 1 ohm stereo. The first thing you are going to encounter is HEAT coupled with excessive current draw.

Just remember to inhale the smoke released from the amplifier for the best high ever. Either that or run like hell because a ninja may materialize to beat your *** for doing something stupid.
