thats just it the amp is rated for 2400@ 12v...it is 2400 before box rise but i just saw the amp doing 2800 at 1.6 at 12v

Z can hold 1500 pretty well (at least you'll smell it in time to turn it down). I don't suspect it'll last long with 2500W wide open to it.

You will need to be conservative with your volume knob or you might want to look into a pair of something. 2400W is more thermal power than any conventional voice coil can handle for extended periods. Mechanically, no problem, but thermally you'll need to watch for warning signs.

I would do it and in a daily setup throw that **** rise **** out the window music is dynamic so your load will be all over the place its not like riding sown the road playing a sign wave and I am very confident it can take that power as long as its clean power and the sub is under control.

yup your rise is all over the place. he also said he was doing some updated and tested a sub with v3 parts on a ns motor and burped at 10-20k or so according to jacobs test

And you think a zcon will handle 2400W thermal power indefinitely?

Dunno what you plan to pay for a Sundown Z, but IMO they are one of the best "mid line" subs out there.
