how much power can a Z3 take?

I know your talking about sundown. It's still a noob question that will be answered with "if you do it right"

I hate to say it but wdw is right. If the 2400 is before box rise you will be safer.
thats just it the amp is rated for 2400@ 12v...it is 2400 before box rise but i just saw the amp doing 2800 at 1.6 at 12v

 
You will need to be conservative with your volume knob or you might want to look into a pair of something. 2400W is more thermal power than any conventional voice coil can handle for extended periods. Mechanically, no problem, but thermally you'll need to watch for warning signs.

 
I would do it and in a daily setup throw that **** rise **** out the window music is dynamic so your load will be all over the place its not like riding sown the road playing a sign wave and I am very confident it can take that power as long as its clean power and the sub is under control.
