I want to build a new box cause right now my hdc3 10 just wont take the power it moves too much with not much power. I can try turning up my subsonic but I want some lows. Its in a box I had made for a type-r 10 which is 1.6 @ 35hz with 26in port area (6" aero).Too big of a box and too much port IMO. Should I just try making the box smaller this time and stick with the 6 or go down to a 4. But a 4 is only 12 sq inches. Or two 4s? Or slot port it with 20sq inches of port/1.25 cubes. I have 2400rms on tap and I want it to take that much for a few mins at a time I wont give it that much all the time. Thanks for the help.
Would the best way to go be just putting something in my box to take up some space, and putting a plug in my port that runs all the way down it that takes up some port area, adjusting port length, and testing things out? I would like a better baseline to start with though.
Another quick questions for anyone with amp strapping expirience, I have my two 1200D orions strapped as the manual says, with one set to master one set to copy, pos from master to positive sub, positive from slave to negative sub, and negatives strapped between amps, but yet the gain on the copy amp still adjusts the output a little. should i match the angles i have the gains at or leave the slave amp (copy) at zero? Guess I should see each what they're putting out with a meter.
