Balto, MD
mortgage = $1900

car payments = $1000

daycare = $800

Gas = $500

P/C/BGE = $500

CC = $500

Food/Ent = $600-$800

min i would say is roughly $6k which 3/4 of is paid by my salary and 1/4 is paid by my wife's and the rest is put in to savings and money market accounts
Out of curiosity, what is the interest rate on that money market? Inflation is around 3.5% over the last few quarters so chances are that you've been losing money on those (in the big scheme of things). I'm not a financial adviser, so don't construe my opinions as such, but you might want to look elsewhere for investment opportunities...

Car Insurance - $70
You have no idea how envious i am... Insurance on my brother's chrysler 300 (19 years old, driving for 3 years, no accidents) is 320 a month... almost as much as the payment... I'm about to get one also... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I also drive a 21-year-old car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif
I could easily afford a new car, but I'd rather buy a house (even a cheap new car would be $200-$250/month + $150-$200/month in insurance) ...

Ahhhh... that definitely helps //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
I agree though, a house is definitely preferable... But i don't mind renting for another year or so...

I need all the money I make a month to survive. But on a serious note I never really considered it, I have a horrible budget problem and have impulsive buys. But on serious notes

Car Note: $370

Insurance: $190

Cable: $60

Phone: $60

Credit Card Bill: $50-$500

Gas: 70$ a week, about $280-$300 a month?

Food like $10000 a month cause I have a horrible habit of eating out a lot.

Entertainment: 300$ a month? Guessing..
