The place I'm looking at is $310 + utilities a month for a 2 bedroom/1 bath apartment. **** cheap. I live in Tn. I work with a guy that lives there & he said his utilities is about $70 a month. So mine would be about the same. Hope to move out at least by this summer. I'm 21 right now & want a change of scenery. I work at Lowes and would make just enough for that apartment. I make right at 1,100 a month. After all rent, utilities, bills, food, gas, cell phone, etc...I should have enough to move.

Rent here was once pretty reasonable all things considered...

Then the powers-that-be saw fit to turn this part of our state into a meca of sorts for gambling and now that we have 5 riverboat casinos, a horseracing track that has also been turned into a casino of sorts by its new ownership, plus having video poker in almost every little nook and cranny in town, average rental fees have skyrocketed over the last decade or so. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

For a 3br/2ba house I pay $600/month + utilities.

Free because I live with my parents!!! Well actually I am paying out the *** for a dorm I dont even use, but Im getting an apartment in august when I transfer schools. The last apartment I was gonna get was $720 a month plus utilities, and no mommy and daddy don't have the money to pay for it.

the house we stay in is3bed, 2bath, garage and fenced backyard for $825 a month, not including water, garbage, or anything

We pay 600 of that, and buy all groceries= ~$800+a month.

Not exactly what most people think we'd pay considering we live with my folks.

My dad had a house he rented out for $400 + utilities (2 bedroom, 1 bath, fenced in yard) and it was literally across the street from the campus. (northeastern oklahoma state)

Well I was living in a house. Actually might have sold now. Lets hope! I was paying 500 plus utilities. So right around 700 something a month. Was pretty steep considering all the other bills I had surrounding me. By the way the house was a small 1100 sqft 2 bedroom, 1bath, full basement(redone) c/a and brand new garage and cement driveway I just had put in last year. That was 27000 bucks! I know right why sell the house? Logic pwns me!

I just recently got a place with my girlfriend and we split the rent. So I am saving some money now. Well actually most of it is going to bills, so not really! But once I get them out of the way I will be saving some money. Anyway its a 2bd/2br 1100sqft(same as my house, lol) condo. We pay 500 plus electric(rest is included), but it is split down the middle, so it works out.

my brother rents out the apts in the complex he owns for 350.00/mo no utilities included.

he tends to take flyers and hang them up around the dorms at the local college(his rent is still over 100 bucks cheaper than the dorms) and keeps his complex full.

For a 1 bedroom 1 bath Flat, right off of LSU's Campus, I pay $530.00 + Utilities.

I live in North AL. I have a 2br/2ba apt and pay 570 w/o including anything. I only make 1200 a month and I have two kids. I make it pretty easily. I also have a g/f that lived with me though that helps. Idk if you will have a roomate but if so you should be alright.

Arkansas, sort of bad side of town I live with 2 room mates plus myself. 3bedroom 2 bath house is 600 in all. 2 of us pay 175 and the other room mate pays 250 b/c he has the upstairs room by himself.
