How much do you think Carmax'll give me for my car?

I have a '98 Mustang Coupe, V6. It has 91K miles on the odometer, and I planned on selling it with out my subs. Only my comps in running off this cheap Hifonics amp I have lying around that does 100x2.

It's red, and pretty shiny for it's age. The bumper's messed up [paint], but I'm getting that fixed. The only flaw that comes out is a small L shaped tear/rip in the hood from where I got hit. The paint is a little gnicked and and such. The average wear and tear of a '98 car. Engine's tip-top, as is the ******. Tires are 1/2 life or so and the interior is immaculant.

I'd be leaving in my CL-E61 comps + TW-25 tweets in, along with my Pioneer DEH P6900UB and my Hifonics TXi4006, and I'm going to re-paint the bumper so it matches again. I'll also try to bend my horse back and put it back on. The top base is bent like a b!tch.

Anyway, how much do you think I can get for it? I'm aiming for at LEAST 2.5K, preferably more.

Start with craigslist, then if that don't work spend the cash for AutoTrader.

im sure he bought the "advertise until you sell" deal and didnt read the fine print that you have to renew your ad every 3 weeks or else they will take it off

carmax is a joke. my buddy took in his caliber which they were selling same year more miles for about 13k. his was flawless even the report they did on it said so and they offered him 8. lol just do craigslist every day more and more ppl turn to it for everything

This 240sx has been on Autotrader for a good year now. Well, when I bought my car I was looking at it. That was in August of '07.... either no one wants it or it just hasn't expired?

just as a reference, my girlfriend's mom just sold her 03 PT Cruiser GT Limited to Carmax with 45k miles, leather seats, 2.4l turboed engine, perfect condition...6k.

my friend had a pretty quick 92 probe i think it was with some engine work done to it and lowering kit and ground effects and they gave him $250....
