How much diff between the AC mic and a TL?

I did this at a local show last week, but it was on an AC mic. I really want to know how far off is the AC compared to a TL just to give me an idea as to what I'm really doing. There are NO TLs around here that I know of, so I have to go by what I have access to. I was told at the show that its around 4db's off from the real deal. Help me out guys

hey theirs a shop in forest city that does metering. pretty sure its a tl. cameron b will know more he went to the shop and got his truck metered there

i would guess with 3k and a 15 your doing like a 145-146 in a trunk on a tl

How much is A LOT?

6-7 dbs depending on the placement. My epic-160 just got here and need to be installed. The ex-owner had his btl with sundown 3k on tl and the epic and the epic was reading 1db lower. Might be cause it shows whole db... no decimal

if they are using the AC spl190 then there isn't much of a difference. i did ALOT of researching for that as i purchased an AC RTA and go the spl 190 upgrade. what you have to worry about is if the person has taken care of his mic and got calibrations and tune ups as needed.

Josh's meter with Xtreme Spl is way off for me.

Last 2 shows:

TL was 158.5 and AC 170.3 so 11.8 db difference

TL was 157.9 and AC 169.6 so 11.7 db difference
