clamped? I highly doubt a Type R can take 1100rms. Your amp might be rated at 1100 rms, but after rise it could be much less.

Had 2000 rated on a type r 12 and it lasted for 3 months just fine until i sold it. I think theyll take over 1000 daily.

you apparently don't know how many systems i've done :/ nor woofers i've used/owned. 10'ers... ugh.

where the hell would you get an amp "rated" at 1100 of all wattages..? I understand what you're trying to say, but I know what i've put to my Arghs.. and they are still alive today, least the ones I didn't sell on here.. sold 20+ on here alone of them. regardless who cares? i'm sure someone out there will say they've done 1250 to each just to say it.

Oh well thanks for all the response, I have it in a ported box a little under 4 cubes. I am looking at the AQ 1200d amp for them. Good choice or is there better without absolutely killing my wallet?

I've sent 800 rms to a 10" daily and never had a problem. Although...I took the other one, and pumped it full of 1200 watts and it didnt take it very well at all.

Currently giving a type r 12 about 800 daily in a ported 2.5cuft box. I've played it full tilt for 30 minutes straight and the dust cap isn't even warm.
