How much can my grades drop?

Why not just do your work like you're supposed to and then not have to worry about it. Honestly, if you're trying to figure out how lazy you can be without getting kicke out of school, you don't belong there anyway. If you're only pulling 80% in the classes that pertain to your chosen major and you hate those classes, you're going to drop out within the first year anyway.

I've made it almost 5 years.....Graduate in May as a ME.

HATE it. I'm going back to school to get my teaching certificate in physics. Just found out that I really don't like it too late.

So yes, it is possible to get through by doing the bare minimum. You just have to know what you are doing to be able to actually pass the classes you need to.

Definately better to work the system than to do more work than necessary.

i think im outta here next semester, on time 4 years for a BS in mechanical engineering. probably only gonna have a 2.9 though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

All I know is that I went in as an ME major. Had awesome grades and could have easily kicked the shit out of my classes freshman year, but the minute they started applying the math to stuff I hated it and went a completely different direction after that semester. Hate the courses and you don't want to do the work. When this happens, most people either drop out or waste several years abd several thousands of dollars doing something they don't want to do and won't help them in the long run.

Best to bust your *** for the time being and then change gears to something you enjoy when you get to college. If you don't enjoy math, engineering really isn't the place for you.

They say it's different once you get into the field. I'm still debating starting out with a ME job, and see if I like it. May as well, I'll have the degree. Then, if I hate it, I'll go get my teaching certificate.

But right now, I wish I did the same as you and got out of it. I didn't mind it for the first 3 years, but now it sucks. But by the time I figured it out, it was too late.

Not to mention that I don't really get along with most of the engineer type of people. Most of them really do fit the stereotype here. ****in geeky *** mother ****ers.
