How much amps are my subs using??

I have a MC '05. My alternator is 150amps. And i have a Clarion DPX11551, 1550watts rms. How much amps is that clarion using from my alternator, because i was thinking about hooking up one more clarion to my car pretty soon..

how many fuses does it have on it, the amount of fuses is the amount of current it draws for power. if not, then the website should say something

Irregardless, without a larger alternator and more batteries you're not going to maintain voltage with two of those amplifiers.

To boot, if you try it, you're probably going to bomb the amps and subs and possibly burn that alternator up.

Those are pretty decent amplifiers, all things considered.

Also - the amplifier is not fused. Clarion recommends an external 200 amp.

figured that, so yeah, you should beef up yur electrical before addong on.

Sorry to thread jack but I didn't wanna make a new thread cuz it is a similar question. I was wondering at what voltage does it start doing damage to an amp. My voltage drops to around 11.9 at full tilt on those long low notes, but on just short beats like 12.5.
