How low can you go with the Iridium 8.3i?

xover setting will be used by my HU pioneer 880

currently, i'm using a temporary amp, lightning audio s2.300 which gives out around 90watt per channel...

so how low can the iridium go? currently i set them at 80@12db...

Depends on the install/car. Try going to 60/63 and adjust from their if no distortion go lower.

why have the mids playing sub bass though?

id imagne 63 or 80 is low enough.

I would say 60ish also - possibly lower. They should only need to play up to around 400hz correct?. keep the bass up front.

oh yeah... i forgot to mention that its not for active setup, but passive... anyway... should i change my amp to a bigger amp, most probably dls a3, will i need to change my xover setting?

Its probably going to be volume dependent. They will probably be fine at the lower setting as long as the volume is moderate or lower. If you start turning up the volume the setting will need to be raised as well.
