How long can speaker wire run from my amp to subs?

Ex: keep amp near front of car to save on power wire and more on speaker wire. Also it would be a shorter run of power from Batt. Also I could get some good rca and it'll run less distance

There is really no limit with the typical direct wire routing we do in the vehicle. Do what you need to do with adequately sized speaker wire.

when competing i tested the effects of increasing the load on my amp by placing around 30 feet of 22 gauge speaker wire between it and my subs. even with 8,000 watts, the speaker wire didn't get warm over short periods of time. so go for it and make your speaker wire as long as possible. just ensure that you have a low enough gauge wire so.
