How long is too long?

What this guy has done is called lying, and I don't give a fuc k who he is and how good his rep is, he is a piece of shi t for not getting your item to you in a reasonable time, and lying to you about it as well. Now that you are six weeks done, you cant dispute anymore IIRC, so he has you by the short and curlies. Good luck getting your item from the fuc king liar who stole your money
You have 45 days from day of purchase to file a claim with paypal. This is like day 41 or 42.

I do have faith that my item will be shipped, but the wait has caused me to miss events and pretty much lose faith in completing my build. Some of you are rediculous with this 1-2 day crap. Id give someone at most a week or so to ship it out..and thatd probly be if they let me know that they couldnt get it out in the next day or 2..I wouldnt start panicking unless it was over a week and they didnt even contact me. I always get my packages out the next day or 2 after there paid for, at most 3 days if im busy. But yah theres no escuse for someone not to be able to get something shipped out before a weeks over, if you cant ship it out in under a week DONT LIST IT.

 
Ok so hypothetically speaking, I was waiting on a special amp that no one else could get me but this guy. He has to do some special engraving for it that is pretty much holding things up. Guy told you almost 6 weeks ago that it would take less than a week. Guy who has the amp is known for stellar CS, and should not be viewed as a scammer. So being who I am and whom others that have purchased from him view him as, his reputation would not take a hit at all. To kill our deal at this point would mean that I would have to go with a lesser amp that may not suit my needs. But to continue to wait would mean that I could possibly be at the FULL mercy of the shipper and have no way of receiving a refund.

I just want to know if I'm being unreasonable. I just feel that regardless of who you are or what's going on, you should be a man of your word. If you say that it's going to ship or that you should expect it on a certain day, I'm the type that will hold you to that. I've been told more than 4 times over the nearly 6 weeks that it was close to being finsihed. I mean what if something happened to my super special amp? Am I to wait this long for warranty repairs also?

 
I think it's time to name the guy, it's been 6 weeks of bull for you, and that is NOT "stellar cs". I hope it's not who it sounds like you are describing, as I like the guy and have dealt with him a few times as well, with stellar results. But it's time to name him and shame him, because he wants you to keep it under wraps, so he doesnt get a mark on him. Then he can do the same thing to somebody else in the future. If he really is a good guy, he will apologize and learn from his mistake, and not do it again.
