How long do subs last?

x2^^ subs usually last a long time as long as your not burping them with comps and what not for a long time... but your listening to them for a daily driver so full tilt will probably happen every so often... get the right box, power and your set..

Not always true. Depending on ware you live has a lot to do with the life of your equipment. I have seen a lot of surrounds dry rot over time. That is not due to user error, but the weather. Places that get very cold in the winter and very hot in the summer tend to take there toll on equipment. I have some old pioneer premier speakers and the Spider has become brittle to the touch. So saying it can last you forever is possible, but not likely in some areas.

It gets like freezing alot and pretty **** hot in the summer. I was just wondering if they just lose performance over time

I've heard speakers that had been in storage for long periods of time that were 40 years old, although they hadn't been in constant use...I'd still expect 20 years of continuous use if not abused.
