how is this amp?

3 years ago i bought this amp ( RF Power 1501bd) birth sheet says 1633rms.. i have never used it its still in the box... When i bought it I spend $1,000 on crutchfield for it.. is this a good amp should i keep it? or should i get rid of it? and what would be a good price to sell it for? i want to get 2 12" Type r's or 2 12" 06 L7's and if i have enough room maybe 2 12" 06 xxx... thanks

It's an amazing amp. A true power house

It will have enough power to run the R's or L7's. But it would only have enough power to run a single 06 XXX.

They are 2000 watts RMS FYI.

wow the new ones are 2,000 rms arent they like in the $6** price range too... i just havent decided how i am going to do it with the little trunk space that i have that will be the deciding factor as to what subs i want guess i will keep reading around on here to find out how much space you need for these 3 diff. subs

T10001bd = 1500 watts

T20001bd = 2400 watts

T30001bd = 3600 watts

On the average birth sheet.

I recomend the Type-r's ported or the Fosgate T1's.

kepe the amp, the choice of subs is kinda funny though .. form type r's to l7's to the massive beast that is a 06 XXX //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I dont think you owuld need 2 XXX or for sure have the space for 2, dont they have like a 23" mounting depth alone?

lol wow i had no idea the new xxx was that **** big... well since my car doesnt have much trunk space i am going to get my rear seat delete and put the subs in the back of that so i would have the whole trunk as a box but i am sure for 2 of the new xxx's i would still probly need more room

dang so two of those would def. take up my WHOLE trunk lol maybe i shouldnt go that route then lol... how would 2 12" 06 L7's sound compared to 2 12" type r's? i know the r's have better sq and the kickers have better spl... i am more into deep hard hitting bass with decent sq

I'm not saying this is an accurate measurement of the mounting depth for this particular sub but certainly it isn't impossible...

I know it's not impossible. But to this date, no 12" production driver available to the public has a 23" mounting depth.
