How in the hell do you score 81?

Jordan was wired to win, that is the greatest thing of all. And there were plenty of good players in the Jordan phase 1 and Jordan phase 2 era's...

I'd love to see how many more titles Jordan would have had if he was lucky enough to have a top 5 all time center for half his career like Kobe did.

--- I'm a Jordan fan for life, but Kobe is the man right now and I admire his "it" factor... no bias, just an opinion! ---

Scottie Pippen is in the HOF //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif and the Triangle offense will turn a good player Great, The Center doesnt have a huge role in the triangle, it was MJ's or Kobe's abilty to get the ball to the open man, which in MJ's case was Kerr, Paxon, etc, and in Kobe's was the Diesel

I sure did watch him every night WGN FTW, and when I say took the night off I was referring to the competition not being nearly as good as it is now or was in the early to mid 80's
I agree competition is slightly higher than it was in Jordan's day, but imo not much. And Jordan absolutely dominated. You always had the sensation that Jordan was just showing us just enough to pull off the win... like we never saw him really open up a can of whoop ***. That's just my personal feel however.

Slighty higher??? all the great players from the late 80s early 90s where on there last legs, and the greats of today where fresh out of school, beside MJ, there where no other greats that still had anything left in the tank, Sir Charles, Malone, Ewing, etc where all on there way out the door. Now you have a star on almost every team every night, just like the 80s, I have been a MJ fan since he beat Georgetown, but after watching the game so long, I can honestly say that Kobe is better, he will never get the recognition as MJ, even if he wins 5 more rings, because people let politics play into the sports world as well, I hear the arguement all the time, look at what MJ did for the game, yea thats fine, he did bring the game to a more global level, but that doesnt mean he is the best.

One on One, Kobe would take MJ no questions asked

Kobe>MJ
after MJ retired the first time the NBA took a huge dip in talent, Kobe has played againts, Lebron, Melo, MJ, Malone, Shaq, etc...He cant take a night off, where is MJ had that luxury of being able to tank it if he wanted to..From like 94-99 the NBA was a huge mess...I watched MJ when he came into the league and watch Kobe when he came into the league..Better opponents often make you a better player...and Kobe has better opponents..

and if Wilt wouldnt be able to compete with nobody in the best 20-30years, Shaq, Olajuwon, Duncan, KG, Ewing, etc would have ate his lunch, the game is wayyyy to different to compare apples to oranges, so saying Wilt was the greatest of his era is a correct statement, one of the best of all time, nah
Lebron & Carmelo have won absolutely nothing. NOTHING. If it weren't for Shaq Kobe would have 2 NBA titles, not 5. So I don't know where that came from. Malone was past his prime when Kobe blossomed, he also won NOTHING. By the way, Jordan is the reason he didn't win anything. I don't get where he had to compete against Jordan. Jordan 3-peated then retired, Kobe wasn't a star then.

Larry Bird

Magic Johnson

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

James Worthy

Patrick Ewing

Shawn Kemp

Gary Payton

Reggie Miller

Isiah Thomas

Joe Dumars

Shaquille O'Neal

Hakeem Olajuwan

Karl Malone

John Stockton

Charles Barkley

Moses Malone

Dikembe Mutumbo

.......Michael Jordan played during the golden era of the NBA. Johnson & Bird made the sport popular, then Michael Jordan took over & revolutionalized sports.........I just listed about 15 first ballot Hall of Fame b-ball players. 80-90s NBA had more talent than the current NBA.

Kobe is just another MJ wannabe.......

Kobe isn't dumb enough to take that challenge. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

yup MJ kept the Jazz from ever getting a ring... KM and JS were 2 of the best at playing as a team they were always in the playoffs thru the 90's too...MJ is just a stud...period

Kobe is a great player no doubt but he has alot more talent to work with him and help him out, unlike most of the former greats who did not....

Magic Johnson= Had Aids when MJ started winning titles

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar= Was like 60 when MJ started winning titles

James Worthy= Already had 3 or 4 rings when MJ started winning titles

Patrick Ewing= Had a shot but blew it when MJ retired the first time, but a center will never win a title without a nice 1 or 2, maybe a 3 if he can handle the rock

Shawn Kemp=lol noooo

Gary Payton=lol noooo again, but he has 1 ring

Reggie Miller=Same Catorgory as Ewing, if they would have played together would have won 2-3 titles

Isiah Thomas=Was on his way out when Jordan started winning titles, and already had 2

Joe Dumars=Same as above

Shaquille O'Neal=Beast Best Center ever, was to young when Jordan was dominating

Hakeem Olajuwan=One of the best ever who is overlooked, not sure why, he made the most of the Jordan retirement, got 2 rings

Karl Malone=lol Consistant, but didnt come around until after like 95

John Stockton=Overrated, he played with a scoring machine

Charles Barkley=Never had a scottie pippen or shaq to help out

Moses Malone=wayy before MJ's time

Kobe is just another MJ wannabe.......

You sound like a *** got that doesnt no anything about bball, just what you see or hear on espn, watch a game, and learn something..Winning Rings does NOT make you a great player in a Team game, if this where golf or tennis then yes that would be the case, but one man does not win the championship in bball the team does..MJ had Pip, and Kobe had Shaq, MJ never won a title without Pip, Kobe has won 2 without Shaq and been to the finals 3 straight years without Shaq...

Kobe and Jordan played each other... how did it go? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

And I guess, according to your memory, every player/team that matched Jordan and the Bulls, for their 6 championships, were all past their prime.

LOL Why are yall calling Pip, and an a$$ load of shooters that can spread the floor not talent????? for every superstar you have to have role players to do the job and do it well, Paxon, Kerr both hit game winners to win championships...

When?? with the Bulls or the Wizards :p

The MJ won titles with Kobe in the league, and Kobe won titles with MJ in the league

Good point, I like to ignore the Wizards era. Jordan was past his prime. Wait till Kobe is at that point before you try to compare apples to apples tho...

unless your name is Michael Jeffrey Jordan

What exactly did the Bulls do the 2 years Jordan was gone? NOTHING. Pippen was overrated. Jordan came back & they steamed rolled to a 38-3 start, finished 72-10, & dominated the playoffs in route to winning the title.

there is a difference......

Michael Jordan has 6 Finals MVP's. Kobe has 2.

MJ won 6 ....with Pippen, Rodman, & Grant

Shaq won 3 ....with Kobe.

Kobe won 2 with Pau Gasol, Lamar Odom, Andrew Bynum, Ron Artest.........

I'll give Kobe this, he has already accomplished something Jordan NEVER did.

lose an NBA Finals //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
