Yes the GTO isn't practical for a daily driver. The trunk is small due to the fuel tank being behind the rear seats. No much room in the rear seats and its 2 doors. Then again it wasn't built to be practical but I suppose it is more practical than the micro machine lol.
BTW I understand what it is marketed too. It just isn't my bag. To me fun to drive is an oxymoron now. I don't share this passion and just see it as an ugly abomination.

Didn't realize the gto was small inside. I like them from what I've seen though.

I understand that maybe driving isn't enjoyable for you. Some people enjoy a really technical road course and some enjoy the drag strip. Either way is cool. I love being on a curvy mountain road pushing myself and the car as hard as possible. I also like watching a LS1 with an STS turbo kit tearing apart a quarter mile. Differing opinions is what makes for a wide variety of cars. I disagree with your view but doesnt mean its not a valid view. I don't think it would work as a daily driver but for the handling/fun factor, i wouldnt take anything else.

First of all, that particular case was only like 8 posts into your thread. You weren't being attacked from all angles. And even if you were, you don't need to sink down to everyone's level.

I already pointed out that your two threads are contradictory. I don't care about your opinion and in the case of this thread, agree with it. But even so, the way you present your opinion is just plain annoying as fvck and makes this forum a worse place.

I thought I would like a somewhat fast car until I bought the GTO. It was fun for like a year, then I discovered that the novelty of all that jazz got old on me. It was a daily driver though. I can't have a toy and a car, so the impracticality of it just started to grate me and the fun wasn't worth it.

I will give you one thing, and I'm surprised it is a car you haven't mentioned. If you want luxury AND extreme performance in one package the new Caddi CTS-V is amazing. Somewhere around 550 supercharged horsepower and the comfort of a caddilac. That also broke the record for fastest lap of a sport sedan around the Nurburgring (same track I mentioned in the other thread about the Viper and such). Other than that... somebody get the god d@mn tranq gun for Speedbump because he is on a crystal meth fueled rage on this **** message board. hah

I would agree with that. Even if I did drive courses, I couldn't see driving a car like that everyday.

I think it would get old. I mean when you buy one they tell you, "This is not a Mercedes, rattles and squeaks may develop. The car is hand assembled to offer to best on track performance, not to be a luxury car."

It does have leather seats and a stereo but I think I would get bored of it daily.

I do like them. Sadly it is a bit out of my range of income. I drove one at the dealer down the road.

Fast cars are bad as daily drivers, any of them.They are either light, handle well and ride like shit like Lotus. They can also be like GTO, small inside, decently powerful, but bad in snow and rain, more straight line cars.

I agree with bigbirney, cars like the Exige aren't for everyone. For people looking for a fun toy, it could be a good option. If it's going to be your only car, you probably shouldn't be looking at it.
