Thanks. I mean the exige is definitly not for everyone. 2 cubes of trunk space, no carpeting, no nothing really, but when it gets on a curvy road, there is nothing else like it. Sure there are times when I want comfort, so I go get in my other car. It is a weekend car/track car only. I don't think it would work as a daily driver but for the handling/fun factor, i wouldnt take anything else.

No. The word wrong isn't a describing word like an adverb or adjective. It is an absolute. A black and white. a 1 or a 0. You aren't getting it. You can't call someones opinion wrong and be right. It isn't possible. You are attempting to take something subjective and turn it into an absolute.

Ownership doesn't make something automatically that brand. When it starts borrowing most of its parts from the same bins and using the same drivetrains then you can say it is. To me the lotus has always been crap.

I thought I would like a somewhat fast car until I bought the GTO. It was fun for like a year, then I discovered that the novelty of all that jazz got old on me. It was a daily driver though. I can't have a toy and a car, so the impracticality of it just started to grate me and the fun wasn't worth it.

The first gen Ariel's used the supercharged K20 motor but the most recent use the supercharged Ecotec 2.0.

But anyway. The wife wanted a sky and we contemplated it, but in the end practicality won with some convincing to her that we didn't need a fun car.

Your saying the GTO is impractical? I've never been in one so I wouldn't know. I know plenty of people who don't like the Lotus because its not practical. But practical is not the purpose of the car at all. It's meant to be an awesome car to drive and it does that very well. Its not marketed to the practical market, its geared towards the track enthusiast and the people who want a back to basics sports car. Love it or Hate it, its an extremely fun car to drive.

Yes the GTO isn't practical for a daily driver. The trunk is small due to the fuel tank being behind the rear seats. No much room in the rear seats and its 2 doors. Then again it wasn't built to be practical but I suppose it is more practical than the micro machine lol.

BTW I understand what it is marketed too. It just isn't my bag. To me fun to drive is an oxymoron now. I don't share this passion and just see it as an ugly abomination.

Its cool, I actually sat in the sky the other day at the local fair as they had some car dealerships showing off their "nice" vehichles and it was actually a nice car. Surprised the shit out of me. Wish I could have took it for a spin.

First of all, that particular case was only like 8 posts into your thread. You weren't being attacked from all angles. And even if you were, you don't need to sink down to everyone's level.

I already pointed out that your two threads are contradictory. I don't care about your opinion and in the case of this thread, agree with it. But even so, the way you present your opinion is just plain annoying as fvck and makes this forum a worse place.
