how hard will it thump RF/Sony

i have 2 sony xplod 10" p5 subs hooked up to an alpine mono power amp 700 watts max (350 watts RMS @ 2 ohms). It is wired parallel. I want to get 2 rockford fosgate HE 12" subs. would the sound outside the vehicle be louder with the rockfords???? I dont think i would need to get a new amp because i would be sending 175 watts to each sub (only 25 less than RMS) but if u think it would be best to get a new amp for these subs say so. Would the RF's hit lower than the sony's even though the sony's frequency response is lower?????? also what is spl and there are some other ones that i cant remember??? what do they stand for and which would the sony's make and which would the RF's make???? which is best for low bass and loudest sound outside the vehicle????? thanx for responses

First of all, why do you want your music outside of your vehicle? Are you going to blast your music irrisponsibly so that your friends think you are cool? Well running sony and RF isnt going to do it. Most of them would probably laugh at you for doing something stupid like that.

Everything is taken out except the Head unit and the speakers. You can steal those all you want cuz insurance will cover it and I need a new head unit anyways. You would be doing me a favor.

Its too bad that hes correct.. Then again it depends on your friends. One of my friends has 2 12" Sony Xplod that are rated 150 RMS and he thinks they are REALLY good. Id say the rockfords will be better than the sonys, but id save for something better.

seriously, if you're looking into sony, then you clearly have no idea about car audio. wait, did you go to the audio section in walmart? im gonna give you some constructive criticism... don't come asking for help or opinions if you don't want negative feedback along with the positive feedback. people don't like certain manufacturers, sony is on a lot of those lists. 1, they're over priced, 2 they ****. i understand you wanting to block rock, everyone goes through that phase when they first get into the car audio world. once they learn about the concept and idea, they realize how stupid, and annoying it is to pople around them, along with how stupid it makes them look with their rattles, and shitty sound emitted from their vehicle. thats when they learn about sound dampening, and better products, and sq, not spl. as far as you trying to be funny saying you stole someone's shit, do you think that makes you look cool or people want to help you? guess what it doesn't, as if i had to tell you that. remember, someone will always have something negative to say about something, if they explain their reason for negativity, you may look at it, and determine that hey, they may actually be right. if you're gonna continue to be an arsehole, and take shit the wrong way, then i have a bit of advice...

The man rightfully defended himself against un needed dissing against him. Yes Rockford will do damage. The key is to get the top line models like RFD. I can agree that there are other brands are out there, but to keep dissing RF when their subs do the work is ignorant.

I personally woundn't spend money on sony or kenwood or pioneer subs, simply cause I'm use to them as electronic stereo companies.
