My rx7 was an external alt. I removed the regulator on the fender, jumped two wires in the harnes cut off the old alt plug and wired in the new one. then replaced the alt.

soo basicly not that hard? how did u know what wires to use and what not?

it is a common change on that car and some of the older mazdas. so one of the forums had a wiring setup. but the hanes manual had enough wiring diagram to go by.
