How good will this work?

Hi there I have 2 12w3 in my VW Golf and they pound like hell, really nice subs...

I was thinking of changeing the subs for 2 18w3 in 2 4cubic feet sealed boxes, and power then with a JBL1200.1

I will also use 2 8w3 in JL brand ported enclosure.

How good will this sound? Will it sound way much better? How much db can I reach?

Too many factors are involved to even attempt at determining your SPL. Why would you add two 8's in ported enclosures? The only thing I would use them for is midbass in the doors or kicks.

You said it...for mid-bass...I don't like how big subs sound when the volume is low, so thats why I was thinking in the 2 8w3...(I like how the 8inchers sound when the volume is low, thats jus the only reason)...

I was thinking of putting them in the upper back part of the back seats...on top of the 18's enclosure...

Is it a bad idea?

Should I get the 6.5's and put them in the back doors and leave the comp only for the front doors?

Use your 8's as midbass in the front stage. They can be facing perpindicular to the passengers, or in kick panels. I would use your comps as midrange and highs.
