How does this work?

I just installed my pioneer cd-ib100ii ipod adapter for my 880prs head unit.

Have the power wires, bus cable and ipod hooked up. It doesn't show anything on my head unit. I thought I just hit the source knob like how I go from radio tuner to cd. But there is no ipod when I keep hitting the knob.

How would I make this work?

thanks.

I turned it on and pressed play on it and said song was playing. And I could scroll though my ipod while its plugged into the cd-ib100ii.

I looked everywhere. Just said in the manual you press the source knob until you come across ipod. But thats not happening. I also found aux 1 & aux 2 in the settings, I turned them both on and still nothing.

shouldnt be able to do that, its supposed to say pioneer on it.

make sure the odd shaped cable is connected and seated properly. which ipod is it?

mine doesnt work with the ipod touch, i phone, or the 30 gb video for some reason....

idk, see if you have a buddy with an older ipod you can try out.

i have an ipod mini with a completely dead battery that ill sell you that'd work perfect for this....because it charges all the time.

My cd-ib100ii is connected to the same power and ground as the head unit. I will try and switch it tomorrow to see if it does anything.
