How does this look? Suggestions

I scratched my original idea and here's what I've come up with. This is for 2 Kicker 8" L7's I only need 0.7^3ft enclosure for each sub. I'm basically just going to make the boxes on each side and connect the middle with a piece of MDF to mount the amp. So these are the overall dimensions the only # I'm not sure about is the width of the enclosure. Right now I'm thinking it should be about 12", I'm not sure though since it has the cut out on the bottom corners, they run up about 3" and then at about a 45*. What are everyone else's thoughts? How does it look so far?

Go easy this is the first time I've ever touched SketchUp so It's a bit sloppy.

Well, you need to determine if that design is going to give you the volume you want.

First thing you should do is finalize all the dimensions as to the fit of the enclosure and then determine what that volume is and then make adjustments.

Go big, then bring it down.

I guess you lost me. Those are the dimensions of the cargo area with the actual sub enclosure being 16 tall, depth 6 at the top 9 at the bottom and I'm thinking 12 as the width but I'm not 100% sure.

Now, where your losing me is 12" width, your going to need a helluva lot more than 12" width for the volume per sub.

Like I said, go big ( use what you have to find what the volume ) and then reduce it down to what ya need.

lol, ok. Maybe I dont understand the volume then. I thought it was HxWxD then divide by 1728. So forget it has a slope in the rear, 16x12x6=1152. 1152/1728=.66, so the box volume would be .66^3 right? These subs only call for .75 max.

Yes they are, If you read my first post though the enclosures are actually going to be separate, they won't be sharing the same enclosure. I'm trying to keep it around .7 for each. Which is where I'm asking for help on the dimensions, with the slant in the back and the cut out on the bottom corners I'm not sure how to figure the right sizes. So my 16x12x6 is just a rough guess on those, I need to know if I'm right or not.

Ok, I think I got it. Tell me if this is right.

If it were square:

15*10*6=900 - 900/1728=.52

For the slope: The bottom is an extra 3" so...

3*15*10=450 / 2 (for a triangle) = 225/1728 = .13

The square volume is .52 the slope is .13 for a total enclosure of .65. Please tell me I'm right?

That would be each enclosure then they would just be connected for bracing and a place to mount the amp.
