How does this first system look?

Hey all, after 2 months of trying to select my choices for my first sound system (going into a Mazda3 sedan trunk). It'd be helpful if someone could check to see that all the components I am purchasing will function well. I was looking for a decent SQL setup, leaning more towards SPL. Thanks.

Purchasing from CarDomain:

Head Unit: JVC KD-G510 MP3 Player

HU Accessories: Scosche MA03 Car Stereo Wiring Harness

Scosche MA1536 Car Stereo Installation Kit

CarDomain Connector Kit In-Dash Receiver Accessory

Speakers: Pioneer TS-A6870R 3-Way Speaker

Purchasing from HCCAFan

Amplifier: Orion 8004

Purchasing from eBay seller "x-sounds"

Subwoofer: 12" Alpine Type R Dual 4 Ohms

My idea was to run two channels of the amp to the front speakers (the Pioneers, with one channel each) and bridge the remaining two channels to the sub (The amp is rated at 400 watts RMS x 2 @ 4 ohm bridged, so bridging the channels will produce about 800 watts to the sub correct, since my subs are dual 4 ohms?)

Thanks.

I would change the front speakers...3 ways are, IMO, a marketing gimmick...go with a good set of 2way coaxials or a set of components that can be coaxially mounted if you don't want to cut any more holes.

Jack Frost, do you think you could help me select some good ones that are under $100? I am obviously on a budget so I am trying to get a decent set of parts for cheap. Also, with the 6.5"'s, I believe I need someway to remount them since the doors are set to accept 6x8 speaks? Would I notice a large between coaxials and comp.'s?

I was unsure of the wattage the amp would put out so I emailed CarDomain about it and got the following response, which makes me rethink my whole set up if it is true (I was looking to get those 800 watts):

"Thanks for writing to us with your question. Technically speaking, if you have a dual 4 ohm wired in parallel for a 2 ohm circuit you will pull twice the wattage from the amp. But, in real life that's not what happens; the amp tries to work twice as hard and shuts down. That is what would happen with this amp as it is not rated for 2 ohm operation. If you have a dual 4 ohm amp I would recommend that you go with a mono amp; they are designed to run at 2 ohms. We don't have an Orion amp that will put out 200w at 2 ohms, but we have many others that will, just let us know if you would like any suggestions"

You should get a dual 2 ohm sub if you want to run an amp bridged to it... that way the amp will be going into a 4 ohm load, and each channel will see a 2 ohm this way. (the amp won't turn off)

Alright well here's my original system:

Same HU and speakers

Amp = Kicker KX550.3 (3 channel, puts out RMS Power @ 4 Ohms: 70W x 2 + 210W x 1)

-Would I get 420 watts or just 210 into the sub?

Sub= MTX 7500

If you wouldnt recommend that set up, please recommend me a sub/amp combination that would work well for a SQL set up, with it being leaned more towards SPL (yet still retain some SQ)?

Thanks.

Only 210 watts on the sub. This is common sense. If it says 210 watts that's all you get.

There are few 5 channel amps that will give enough output on the sub channel for an SPL install.

Pick up a decent 4 channel for $200, then a 1000 watt class D for around $300.
