How does the Zed Leviathan II work?

I have a Zed Audio Leviathan II and am curious how the clipping indicators work... I am not magnificent at hearing clipping in my subs, but I feel that there is little or no distortion at levels that the amp is saying it is. Of course I would rather have less bass with clean, un-clipped power, but this is very frustrating when I know what the sub can sound like. Of course I know Zed amps are not SPL oriented, but I know my iDMax should get plenty loud off of 600 watts rms.

Amps can/will start to clip before you will ever hear them.

They are accurate indicators. Try lowering your volume a bit and raising the gain. Not only does a amp clip but also your deck can too. If your deck is sending a clipped signal it will also set off the clip indicators. Alright, Ill try that. I had actually did the opposite yesterday, like a dumb (bleep). I was all the way up to 30/35. I will see what I can get around the 24/25 zone, or somewhere around there. Thanks a ton!

Not guaranteeing a fix here. But it's worth a shot. Some decks clip at anything above 3/4 volume.
