How do you make everything black and white except for a couple things in a picture? can you do it with paint or what? Im lost on the whole photo editing thing haha

i got photoshop and i have no idea how to do it. i think i know how to make the whole picture black and white

there is a tool called the sponge in photoshop. you can do it manually in photoshop by "painting" everything with the sponge and it will "****" the color away.

or you could do it the quick way and select each area you want to keep color on with the lasso tool. then do [select->inverse] and then press [ctrl+u] and turn the saturation all the way down to 0. then go in with the sponge and get the small details by hand.

least thats one way of doing it.

a filter? i think not, filters are not accurate enough to dictate what is part of an image and what needs to be taken away or edited. until computers can think activly that kind of stuff is useless imo

make another layer.. over it.. turn it black and white.. then use the eraser and erase the part you want color.. and the color layer under it will show.. , hope that was clear.

goto the store pay them 1000 dollar and you get it, except it will be a newer version called PhotoShop CS 2 or something fancy like that.
