did you measure 70volts at the amp with the speakers unhooked? and I'm taking its a 4 Ohm loadthat means i feeding my type e 1200 watts
1200W=(70vx4r)sqrt
thats a helluva lotta watts to be feeding a type-e, might need to upgrade soonyeah, using a 40hz tone, deck 25 out of 35
i had a top shop set my gains, they do $30,000 installs, seems to be fine, been running it this way for a month or 2thats a helluva lotta watts to be feeding a type-e, might need to upgrade soon
a top shop or DIY'er can set the gains right so your amp isn't clipping. The problem is going to be damaging the voice coil latter down the road. because your feeding the sub more than its rated for thermaly its causing the voice coil to heat upi had a top shop set my gains, they do $30,000 installs, seems to be fine, been running it this way for a month or 2
just seems crazy
