How do i wire to .7 ohm?

hi i just had a quick question...i have two subwoofers with quad 1.4 coils...my question is how do i wire these to .7 ohm or what are my possibilities?

they will be hooked up to 2 amplifiers so 1 to each. what can i wire each sub individually to?

I would say the best solution would be 1.4 per amplifier...

Two of the coils wired to .7, the other two on the woofer wired to 2.8

Sub's final ohmload at 1.4 for the amp

2vc in series x 4 wired in parallel will yield 1.4 ohm

4vc in series x 2 wired in parallel will yield 0.357 ohm

all in series would be 11.2 ohm

all parallel will be 5.714 ohm

for 1 woofer

2vc in series x2 wired in parallel will yield .714 ohm

all in series would be 5.6 ohm

all in parallel would be 2.857 ohm

Your best bet for .7 ohm load is to use one amp per sub.

You can't do it...Just like trying to wire a pair of 2ohm DVC subs to 1 ohm, it can't be done with a single one of those subs on one amp (you could do it with a 2-channel amp though, just run two coils in parallel off of each channel)
