Ok, here is what i got; cable from battery to amp, clarion 1000w amp, sony Xplode 4 ohm 1300 watt max and like 340 watt rated? (not positive on that number) the red and black plug cable from amp to box, a box with the red and black wires in it, not a plug though just wire. And a few other wires. I have a general idea how to set it all up but how should I wire the sub to the amp.. dont wanna break anything. any help is appreciated.

clarion dpx1000.2 •250 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms

•450 watts RMS x 2 at 2 ohms

•500 watts RMS x 2 at 1 ohm

•1,000 watts RMS at 2 ohms in bridged mode

•stereo or bridged mono output

•Tri-way capable (Tri-Way crossover required)

•requires 4-gauge power and ground leads — wiring and hardware not included with amplifier

•MOSFET power supply

•variable 55-550 Hz low-pass crossover with selectable 12 or 24 dB/octave slope

•0-15 dB variable bass boost at 45 Hz

•selectable subsonic filter at 24 Hz

•wired remote sub level control with 19-3/4 foot cable

•preamp- and speaker-level inputs

•8-7/16"W x 2-1/8"H x 16-1/16"D

this help?? i dont have the amp in front of me

Use bridge connection. Match everything up. + from woofer goes to + bridge output on amp, and - from woofer to - bridge output on amp. The amp has a diagram right above the speaker terminals to show you how to wire for bridged connection to your sub. Didnt get if your woofer was a single voice coil or a dual voice coil. Or if it is 4 or 2 ohms... But it being a Sony its prolly a single 4 ohm. And have you got the power connections made? Set amp mode switches to low pass and mono operation.

and remember to hit the thanks button for his labors^

as of right now its all sitting in my room, one question is where it says bridged and all that is a skrew type cable, and the box has plug style cables and inside the box has the skrew type cable and mu sub has the plugs.. how do i wite it all up? (skrew style means just bare copper no plug)

All you have to do is unscrew the screws enough to put the wire there. Make sure you keep the polarity correct. If there is a white line or some writing on one of the wires use that for neg or pos. I use it for neg. This really isn't as hard as your making it out to be. For power... PWR on amp would go to pos post on your battery, put a fuse bout 12 in from the terminal. GND goes to chassis of car. Use chassis bolt for your ground. Scrape of any paint or sealant that's there for better power transfer. You can repaint with paint to prevent corrosion or rust. REM goes to the remote lead on hu..or if your using factory hu connect to either ignition or the radio fuse under dash. The RCA cables from output on hu or connect to a loc (line out converter) to the amp. And we've been over how to wire your sub. Oh and don't forget to mount the amp somewhere..

ok, ill have to go find some, also i dont quite understand the whole rca part... where do i plug those cables into...again thank you this has all been very helpfull

An RCA connector, sometimes called a phono connector or cinch connector, is a type of electrical connector commonly used to carry audio and video signals. The name "RCA" derives from the Radio Corporation of America, which introduced the design by the early 1940s to allow mono phonograph players to be connected to amplifiers.

There are outputs on the head unit, and inputs on the amp. Typically red and black/white. Some amps have outputs as well, so make sure you are plugging in in the right place.
