How do I split the port for a centered ported box correctly?

So im getting ready to build my box for dodge ram and my XFL 15's. Im wanting to do forward firing subs and port. I dont know where to put the port so im doing a middle slot port.

My question is, when the port is to long and needs to bend, do i just put a board down the middle of the port and basically make two separate boxes

Or

lets say the width is 5 inches, do i just do a 5 inch port till the bend then put a triangle wedge type thing to split the width in half on each side or do i even have to put anything at all?

Is this correct, or do i need a triangle piece at all, or do i need to put a board down the middle and separate the box all together? View attachment 26554642

You don't have to use the triangle but it'll help with direction of airflow. Run your 5 inch wide port down to 2.5 inches form the back of the box and split left and right. Triangle is up to you.

Alright, so the triangle isnt necessary. If i where to do the triangle does it have to be out of MDF? what about port length? lets say it needs to be 24 inches in length, and lets say im able to run it to 20 inches, where it bends do i need 2 inches on each side or 4 inches on each side?

If your port is 5" wide and needs to be 24" long and your box is only 20" deep. U want to bend your port at 19"

U want to stay the same width of the port from back wall. So if your port is 5" wide you want to stay 5" away from back wall
This was what i was thinking , and i had that typed up to him but then i kept thinking about it and made sense on why it would be 2.5 because if i stopped 5 inches away i would have to continue to run 5 inches after the bend. Unless im missing something.
